Safety and Covid 19
Safety
Here at Wild About Wales your safety is of paramount importance. This is why we work with a team of fully qualified outdoor instructors who are all very experienced and professional. All our activities have written risk assessments and standards of practice and we offer low ratios of client to instructor so that you get the best care and attention throughout your challenge and you stay safe! We also want to make sure that our team stay safe and to do this we need your help to ensure you treat them with respect and accept their decisions! We reserve the right to transfer participants to other activities if we believe they are likely to put themselves or others at unacceptable risk and we may need to make amendments to routes due to weather conditions on the day. We don’t make these decisions lightly and we do need your understanding that they are only made for your own safety. We will always explain why we have made these decisions. We hold an AALA licence which allows us to offer activities for participants under 18. This allows school, colleges and other groups of young people to know that we are working to a recognised standard of safety procedures which are regularly monitored by the independent licensing authority, the Adventure Activities Licensing Service (AALS), now part of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE)
COVID 19
Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, we are now even more aware of how we run our challenges and have made alterations to some challenges to continue to ensure everyone’s health and safety. We will continue to make changes in line with the current government guidance relating to group sizes and other aspects of safety in relation to Covid 19. Wild About Wales is adhereing to the We’re Good To Go’ industry standard demonstrating that we are adhering to the respective Government and public health guidance, have carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment and checked that we have the required processes in place.
