Snowdonia Highlights   (Grade: Moderate)
Friday - Pick up at 8.45am in Bangor. Drive to Snowdonia National Park, where we climb Tryfan, one of Wales' most distinctive peaks almost exactly 3000ft (915m) heigh. It is not a long day, but it is challenging - the north ridge providing some of the most exciting basic scrambling in Snowdonia. If the weather is not suitable we will go to the Devil's Kitchen in the beautiful Cwm Idwal and climb the slightly higher but easier Y Garn instead. Overnight in Beddgelert.
Saturday - Today we climb Snowdon, the highest peak in England and Wales. A long and fairly demanding day on good paths, with stunning views if visibility is good. Overnight in Beddgelert.
Sunday - Our final day takes us to the free standing Moel Siabod - a lovely walk on a beautiful hill, with some basic scrambling if weather permits. Late afternoon return to Bangor.

Ridges of Snowdonia   (Grade: Strenuous)
Friday - Pick up at Bangor railway station at 8:45.  Then we drive into the National park via the spectacular Ogwen Valley, from where we will walk one of the ridges in the Carneddau Range. This is the highest plateau area in the UK outside of Scotland, and offers some wild and exciting walking, with the possibility of some basic scrambling. We walk for 6-7 hours, then drive to the overnight accommodation in Beddgelert.

On the way down the Nantlle ridge.

Saturday - A big day today as, weather permitting we will do the Snowdon Horseshoe. A demanding but very satisfying walk, with some scrambling, including the famous ridge of Crib Goch. This requires a head for heights, but is well worth the effort. If the weather is not suitable, we will either do a ridge walk in the Glyder range, or find another route of interest on Snowdon. The days walking will be between 6 and 8 hours.
Sunday - Today we visit the beautiful Nantlle Ridge. This is on the Western side of the Park, with views out towards Ireland. The walking is varied, and includes some steep downhill sections. This must be one of the most interesting walks in Snowdonia, and we will take up to 6 hours. Then we will return to Bangor, aiming to arrive late afternoon/early evening.

Bespoke tours
We can design a walking break to match your dates, personal aspirations and preferences. For instance you could have a tour based on visits to mountain lakes or one that takes in the most remote and tranquil spots that North Wales has to offer. You could get to know the varied ascent routes on Snowdon or you can visit ancient woodland and nationally important SSSIs.
For those using the hill and mountain environment as a means to develop fitness, or in preparation for an outdoor challenge, we can suggest excursions that will support your programme and provide interest (and/or excitement).

"What an amazing weekend, you found just the right walks for our fitness levels and you enabled us to rise to each challenge - we would never have done it without you. We will return to Snowdonia now with a deeper understanding of the area and the confidence to try something on our own. Many thanks for a truly enabling weekend!"  Helen - Reigate.
